Fashion Forward Fillies shine at Keanes Jewellers Ladies Day

Fashion Forward Fillies shine at Keanes Jewellers Ladies Day

The fashion stakes were high at Limerick Racecourse on Sunday October 11 for the Keanes Jewellers Ladies Day competition. Ladies were treated to a prosecco reception and a fashion show in the Fashion Dome which housed a number of boutique stands. Celia Holman Lee was MC of the fashion show which featured beautiful fashions from Aisling Maher Millinery and Boutique, Adare and Marietta Doran had the tough task of judging the Keanes Jewellers Best Dressed competition with 79 ladies entering the competition.

 The highly coveted €4,000 diamond ring from Keanes Jewellers was won by Lisa McGowan from Tullamore, Co. Offaly. Lisa, who is an insurance broker wowed in her stunning teal cape by Marian Murphy Cooney and matching teal skirt by So Sew. Lisa completed her look with a black obi from Isobella Ru and a black and teal hat by Laura Hanlon Millinery. Lisa’s bag was from Dunnes Stores and her shoes were from Office. “I was delighted and relieved that I managed to get my nails painted as I only did them on the way down to Limerick in the car, otherwise the ring would have stayed in the box. I haven’t taken it off since”. Lisa said about her win.

Angela Shire, an office manager from Dooradoyle, Limerick finished in second place and won an Afternoon Style Session to include an outfit, headpiece and accessories sponsored by Aisling Maher Millinery and Boutique, Adare and a €100 voucher for Serendipity Shoes, Adare and Limerick. Angela wore a cream blouse from Zara, a black leather skirt from Dorothy Perkins, a brown cape from Zara, shoes were from Penneys, and she completed her look with a black and brown leopard print hat borrowed from her mother.

 Alex Butler, a Retail Manager from Midleton, Co. Cork finished in third place and won a Destination Adare Shopping voucher to enjoy in the picturesque village of Adare, Co. Limerick including vouchers for 1826 Adare, Adare Beauty, Adare Manor Golf Club, Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel, RetroVentures and Objekt Furniture. Alex wore a beautiful pale pink Niamh O’Neill coat with a hat by Laura Hanlon Millinery. Alex completed her look with a bag from Magnolia’s in Midleton, Earrings and ring from Maureen Lynch and Louboutins shoes.

 The ten finalists received a goody bag with a voucher for Keanes Jewellers, Zip Yard Limerick and tickets for the Festive Ladies Competition at Limerick Racecourse which takes place on Sunday 27th December. The finalists included Linda Morrison from Kildare, Suzanne O’Brien from Adare, Co. Limerick, Breda Butler from Thurles, Co. Tipperary, Rachelle Guiry from Newcastle West, Co. Limerick, Grace Flynn from Pallaskenry, Co. Limerick, Antoinette O’Connell, Limerick and Niamh McNamara, Mungret, Limerick.
